Al Iman Institute and Slough Outreach Celebrate One Year of Community Service for Homeless Residents

Al Iman Institute proudly marked the one-year anniversary of its partnership with Slough Outreach with a special community breakfast served on Slough High Street. The initiative, supports homeless individuals and families by providing freshly prepared meals, warm drinks, and community interaction.

To celebrate this milestone, volunteers served a complimentary Asian and English breakfast, along with bespoke cupcakes, to everyone who attended. The event saw outstanding participation from students, parents, staff, and members of the public who stopped to take part, demonstrating the spirit of kindness and unity that has fuelled this project from the beginning.
“We are incredibly humbled by the support of our community,” said head teacher Joweria Khera. “Our students have learned invaluable lessons about compassion and responsibility. This project has shown what can be achieved when young people, families, and local organisations come together with a shared purpose.”
Slough Outreach, a local charity focused on helping those facing homelessness and hardship, expressed gratitude for the continued partnership and praised the commitment of the volunteers who dedicate their Sunday mornings to serving others.
Over the past year, the breakfast service has distributed hundreds of hot meals and provided a safe, welcoming environment for those in need. The initiative continues to grow, driven by an ethos of service, dignity, and compassion.
