Karandeep Singh, 18 of no fixed abode was charged with one count of robbery on Friday, March 9.
The incident took place at a branch of Wickes on Farnham Road in Slough when a man stole tools from the store and assaulted a member of staff.
The victim required hospital treatment for a head injury.
Singh is due to appear in court today (10/6) after being remanded in custody.
