Where kids can eat free in Berkshire this summer

Kids across Berkshire are jumping for joy this week as their school year comes to an end.

This however means that any free school meals that parents may take advance of during the year  will be unavailable as well for the next 6 weeks.

Not to worry though! Different restaurants and supermarket have launched a ‘kids eat for free or less during summer 2022’ initiative to treat kids and families over the summer months.

The different places that have chosen to get involved in this initiative throughout Berkshire are below.

Supermarkets and stores

  • Morrisons throughout Berkshire

Spend £4.99 to get a free kids meal after 3pm daily, normally all day during the summer.

  • Asda Café  – (Asda Hayes, Asda Lower Earley, Asda South Ruislip.)

Kids eat for £1 everyday with NO need for paying adult from 25th July – 4th September 2022.

  • Dunelm (Pausa Café, Newbury)

One free mini main, two snacks and a drink for every £4 spent in the in-store café.

  • Ikea (Reading)

Get two kids hot meals, fruit, drink and jelly for £5 in their Swedish restaurants (subject to availability).



  • YO! Sushi (Reading, House of Fraser & Windsor)

Kids eat for free from 3pm – 5:30 pm Mon-Thursday for every £10 spent on food.

  • Bella Italia (Reading at The Oracle, Taplow Maidenhead)

Kids eat for £1 with each adult meal from 4pm-6pm on Monday-Thursday.

  • Dobbies Garden Centre café (Reading and Hungerford)

Kids eat for free with an adult main meal.

  • Café Rouge (Windsor)

Kids eat for £1 with an adult meal excluding Saturday.

  • Beafeaters (The Southcote, Reading, Beefeater Reading Gateway, Downshire Arms, Bracknell, Rackstraws, Sandhurst.)

Brewers Fayre – Weather Vane, Bracknell

Free breakfast for two children under 16 with every paying adult.

  • Hungry Horse – Victoria Cross, Reading

Free kids breakfast with an adults with an adults breakfast from 9am – 12pm daily.
