Teenager in court for having drugs and a MACHETE in public

A TEENAGER has been hauled through the courts for being in possession of drugs and a machete in public.

Rrahim Statovci, of Mill Street, Slough, was sentenced for the two charges at Slough Magistrates’ Court.

The 18-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to possession of a knife/blade in public namely a machete in Mill Street on June 7, 2021.

He was also sentenced for possession of class B drug cannabis on the same day in Slough.

The teenager was sentenced to four months in prison suspended for 24 months due to severity of offence – it was decided there was ‘a real prospect of rehabilitation’.

Statovci was also ordered to undertake 200 hours of unpaid work. He was fined £50, and must pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

The sentencing took place on Friday, August 27.
