Police continue search as missing High Wycombe man spotted in Reading

A missing 72-year-old man has been spotted at Reading train station with police becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Officers now believe he is in the Reading area after he was seen yesterday (May 31) at the train station in the morning at around 6.45am.

He was wearing a large black parka jacket, dark glasses, black tracksuit bottoms with a thick white stripe down the side, dark footwear and was holding an orange carrier bag and coffee cup.

Police describe him as having blue eyes, being about 5ft 5ins tall with a slim build.

Members of the public have been urged by Thames Valley Police not to approach Philip but instead call the force.

Detective Sergeant Peter Cave, based at Wycombe police station, said: “We are concerned for Philip’s welfare and are appealing for the help of the public in finding him.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen Philip or anyone with any information about his whereabouts to please get in touch by calling 101 or via our website, quoting reference number 43220235857.

“If you see Philip, please do not approach him but call 101 instead.

“I would also like to reassure Philip, if he sees this, to please not be worried about coming forward as we just want to make sure you’re safe and well so please get in touch as soon as possible.”
