Thames Valley Police officers carrying out a weapon sweep earlier this week found ‘several’ used syringes during their operation.
Three PCSO’s and two police volunteers were carrying out the weapon sweep in the Grenfell Road area of Maidenhead on Monday afternoon, as well as in various nearby alleyways.
These weapon sweeps are carried out regularly in order to keep members of the community safe.
Fortunately, no weapons were discovered by the officers.
However, the force have confirmed that they located several used syringes.
These were taken off the street disposed of at the police station.
